Why do you charge for Postage now?
We have started charging for postage to our UK customers, as we could no longer absorb the costs. We do not make a profit on postage costs and charge you strictly what it costs us to post your order. This is calculated by weight and destination.
For UK orders postage costs are calculated by weight and destination.
For all orders outside the UK we charge you post and packaging determined by the country that you want the goods delivered too, and the combined weight of the items.
The total shipping cost will be calculated before you go through the checkout process. Please note that Lazy Oaf does not make a profit on postage charges.
We only send by Royal Mail’s registered services, which enables us to track the whereabouts of your parcel once it's been despatched.
Please contact us at least 24 hours after placing the order if you wish to know the tracking number, which enables you to trace the parcel online at www.royalmail.com.
Lazy Oaf aims to ship all orders received before 10am on weekdays the same day. We aim to ship evening and weekend orders the next working day. At busier times of the year, such as during sale periods, please allow an extra day or so before your order status is updated to “despatched”.
During the checkout process you may select one of the following two delivery methods:
Royal Mail Recorded Delivery - cost subject to weight
If you select this option, your parcel should be with you 2-4 working days after your order has been despatched and if it has not arrived after 5 working days, please contact us quoting your name, order number and full address and we will look straight into it for you.
At busier times of the year, such as Christmas, postal services can slow down, so we ask you to wait 7 working days after your order is updated to “Despatched” before contacting us.
Royal Mail Special Delivery - cost subject to weight
If you select this option, and place your order before 11am on weekdays it will be despatched the same day and arrive the following day.
Orders placed after 11am will be despatched the following morning and arrive the day after that. If it has not arrived on the day that it is due, please contact us quoting your name, order number and full address and we will look straight into it for you.
Please be aware that Special Delivery is not guaranteed for a Saturday delivery, for example, if you ordered on Friday you are not guaranteed to get your parcel delivered on Saturday although it is still likely.
Please note all orders require a signature on receipt.

WE have a new and improved way of calculating postage costs so you can see how much your item will be before you checkout!
The postage and packing charge varies depending on the weight of your order AND the size of the parcel. This charge is calculated automatically as you add or remove item(s) from your shopping basket and you can view the amount on the “cart contents” page under "my shipping costs". Just log into your account and choose a delivery option then the shipping calculator will automatically work out your shipping charge. If you haven’t opened an account with us yet you can still view the shipping charge by entering your address.
We aim to dispatch all orders received before 10am the same day. If you have selected recorded delivery the items should be with you in 1-5 days after you receive the despatch email. We aim to send things out as quickly as possible, but once it is in the hands of the Royal Mail it is hard for us to let you know when it will arrive as it is up to their schedual but in most cases it takes 1-3 days. If you have selected special delivery then the items should be with you the next day. For international orders please allow 5-10 days after dispatch for delivery. What if I need my item really quickly?
If you need your order ASAP I suggest you select the ‘special delivery’ option. You could give us a call on +44 (0) 2073542500 or email us between 10am -6pm Mon-Fri and we will try our best to speed up the dispatch for you.
What happens if my order is delivered when I’m not at home?
The carrier we use will leave you a card letting you know that a delivery has been attempted. The card should have detailed instructions informing you on how to obtain your parcel. You will have 7 days from the date of attempted delivery to rearrange delivery, after this date items will automatically be returned to us. If the item is returned to us in this way, we will need to charge again for postage before sending the item out again. We will contact you first. To avoid delays in delivering your parcel, we recommend having your item shipped to your daytime address (for example, your work address).
Can you leave the delivery in an agreed hiding place or with a neighbour?
Unfortunately we cannot, as all orders require a signature upon receipt at the specified delivery address.
Can someone else sign for my delivery?
Yes, anyone at the specified delivery address can sign for the goods.
Can I pick up my order from your studio?
Unfortunately it is not possible to collect orders from our studio.
Do I have to pay import charges?
Any customs or import duties are levied once the package reaches its destination country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the recipient. We have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office for further information.
