The Lazy Oaf Drawing Club
Calling all artists, designers, illustrators, drawers and damn right doodlers.
Last year we launched Lazy Oaf’s Drawing Club sponsored by Posca Pens. We asked all of you to submit your designs for an exhibition we put on in April 2009 and you lot really did cough up the goods. In fact the event was such a success that we have decided to do the same thing again this year, but with a difference.
We are going to be holding another live drawing event in London at the end of May and we want all of you to be a part of it whether you live in the UK or not. Which is where the competition comes in….
To run alongside the event, we are asking all of you to submit your own drawings to us following the theme of Dark v.s. Light. So here is your chance to unleash your inner goth or show everyone what a goodie-two-shoes you really are. Think good v.s. evil, love v.s. hate, hippies v.s. greasers, Darth Vader v.s. Luke Skywalker…you catch our drift right? This theme is just a starting point and we’re relying on you to use your imaginations and take it in whatever direction you like.
Submissions can be drawn with whatever you like whether it’s painting, scrawling, cutting, pasting or anything that takes your fancy.
Our favourite three drawings will then be posted on our blog for all to see and will receive the following prizes:
1st Prize : £100 bumper bag of Lazy Oaf and Posca goodies.
2nd Prize: £50 bumper bag of Lazy Oaf and Posca goodies.
3rd Prize: £25 bumper bag of Lazy Oaf and Posca goodies.
All of our favourite entries from the competition will also be posted and credited on our FlickR. And who knows, some of the drawings may even end up in the exhibition.
Please send your entries no smaller than A5 size at 72dpi (we may request a higher resolution at a later date) in jpg/pdf format to info@lazyoaf.com titled ‘Drawing Club‘. The deadline is Monday 17th May 2010.
So if you can’t make it down to the event but would still like to show off your drawing skills then here is your chance.
We cannot wait to see what you come up with.
